Being Here
Being Here is a black-and-white photobook project made on Vancouver Island.
The photographs move through water, forests, weather, shorelines, ferries, docks and the routines of ordinary life. People appear throughout, often small within their surroundings, moving through conditions they can never fully know or control.
The work explores uncertainty, belonging, limited control, and the ways we continue to make a life within all of it.
